TISBUS organises special outings for members when you can bring your friends or make some new ones.

We come up with some of the trip ideas and our members regularly suggest others which suit their interests. We often offer a trip for lunch at a pub in the region, a popular and sociable occasion that lets you sample different foods and beers and we offer regular trips to farm shops as far afield as Shelton Mallet or more locally to West Stour, again with the opportunity for a spot of lunch at the farm shop café.

If the seaside and country are more your style, we visit Weymouth, Poole and the Dorset Heavy Horse Farm Park in Verwood for example. And, not forgetting the shoppers, Clarkes Village in Street and the Weyhill Fairground, Craft and Design Centre in Andover also feature.

  • 21 Jan Film (to be announced) Sandwiches, cake and tea in Victoria Hall. Cost £5.00 (including Tisbus fare) pickup 1.30pm return 4.45pm.  Please book for the film and bus.
  • 04 Feb Lunch at the Wessex Restaurant at Wiltshire College, Salisbury.  2 courses – £12.00 and 3 courses £14.00. Tisbus fare £8.00.  Pickup 10.30am, return 2.30pm.
  • 18 Feb  Bournemouth Oceanarium.   A chance to see Humboldt penguin, black tip reef shark and many exotic fish.  Enjoy lunch at the café overlooking the beach.  Entrance £11.50.  Tisbus fare £12.00.  Pickup 9.00am, return 2.30pm.
  • 04 March Udder Farm shop and café. Lunch and shopping.  Tisbus fare £8.00. Pickup 11am, return 2.30pm.
  • 18 March Visit and tour of Owen Barry Leather Factory and shop at Street.   You will learn about the process and see the manufacturing workshop using real sheepskin, leather and cowhide.  (Tour at 2.00pm, price to be confirmed).  Lunch on the way at The Castlebrook Inn, Compton Dundon.  Not suitable for wheelchairs.  Tisbus fare £15.00.  Pickup 9.30am, return 3.30pm.
  • 01 April The Waitrose and Partners Farm at the Leckford Estate, Stockbridge.  Nursery, water garden, café and farm shop.  Tisbus fare £12.00.  Pickup 9.30am, return 2.30pm.
  • 15 April Dorchester Market.  Tisbus fare £12.00. Pickup 9.30am, return 2.30pm.
  • 06 May Iford Manor Garden and café.  Grade 1 gardens dating back to the Doomsday Book.  Entrance £9.00, Historic House member free.  Advance booking required.  Not suitable for wheelchairs. Tisbus fare £12.00.  Pickup 9.30am, return 2.30pm.
  • 20 May Cowes, Isle of Wight.  Spend the day exploring Cowes.  Red Funnel ferry fare £15.00, Tisbus fare £12.00.  Early pick-up from 8.00am, return 3.30pm dependent on ferry times.   Advanced booking required.  
  • 03 June Watercress Steam Train – Take the train from Alton to Alresford with time for lunch in Alresford before the return to Alton.  Train fare £19.50, Tisbus Fare £12.00.  Pickup 9.00am, return 3.00pm dependent on train times.
  • 17 June Mudeford Quay.   Have something to eat and enjoy spectacular sea views.  Tisbus Fare £12.00 pickup 9.30am, return 2.30pm. 
  • 01 July Swanage.  Tisbus fare £15.00, pickup 9.00am, return 3.00pm.
  • 15 July AGM.  3.00pm at the Victoria Hall, Tisbury including tea, cake, sandwiches and entertainment. Please contact Dave Milas to book a seat on the bus.  Return bus at 4.45pm.
  • 05 August By popular demand.  Forde Abbey, Chard.  Entrance £18.00 (group discount £13.50).  House not accessible for wheelchairs. Café.   Tisbus fare £15.00, pickup 9.30am, return 2.30pm.
  • 19 August   Mystery tour and stop for lunch. Tisbus fare £12.00.  Pickup 10.00am, return 2.30pm.
  • 02 September Wells Cathedral and market.  Cathedral entrance £15.00, Cathedral and Bishops Palace and gardens £22.00.  Tisbus fare £10.00.  Pickup 9.30am, return 2.30pm.  
  • 16 September  Great Chalfield Manor House and Garden, Melksham.  15th century manor house with an arts and crafts garden.  Tour of house at 2.00pm.  Entrance to garden and house £14.00, garden only £10.00, NT members free.  Stop for lunch on the way at the Lowden Garden Centre.  Tisbus fare £10.00.  Pickup 9.30am, return 3.30pm.  Advance booking required.
  • 07 October Bath. Tisbus fare £12.00, pickup 9.30am, return 3.00pm.
  • 21 October Out of Town shopping, Salisbury.  Tisbus fare £8.00, pickup 10.00am, return 1.00pm.  
  • 04 November RNLI headquarters, Poole.  Lunch in the café followed by a 90 minute tour including the Sea Survival Centre and the wave tank and lifeboat simulator.  Cost £10.00.  Tisbus fare £12.00.  Pickup 9.30am, return 2.30pm.
