Local authorities were worried to hear rumours of a planned prison break in October but relieved to find that it was really just TISBUS members ‘taking a break’ and ‘breaking into’ the Jailhouse Café and Farm Shop, the successful rehabilitation training initiative of HM Prison Service at Guy’s Marsh Prison near Shaftesbury.
Driven by much-loved TISBUS volunteers Susie Ladbrook and Steven Beaumont, two busloads of excited TISBUS members enjoyed a delicious and fun lunch ‘behind bars’ at The Jailhouse including being serenaded by the café’s head chef and crooner with a skilful rendition of Frank Sinatra’s ‘Love is a many splendored thing’. And for TISBUS members, a lovely lunch and visit to the farm shop at The Jailhouse was truly a many splendored thing …the golden crown that makes a TISBUS member a king…
